The community of Buddhist practitioners. In the narrower sense, the noble Sangha consists of those who have attained stages of awakening (stream-enterers through arahants). In the broader sense, it includes the monastic community (bhikkhus and bhikkhunis) and lay practitioners. The Sangha is one of the Three Jewels.
