Milinda (Menander I)
Indo-Greek King
An Indo-Greek king (c. 165/155-130 BCE) famous for his dialogues with the Buddhist monk Nagasena, recorded in the Milinda Panha (Questions of King Milinda). These dialogues cover fundamental Buddhist concepts and represent an important early encounter between Hellenistic and Buddhist thought.
