The Kangyur ('Translated Words') contains the words attributed to the Buddha, translated into Tibetan from Sanskrit and other languages. It comprises approximately 108 volumes organized into sections on Vinaya, Prajnaparamita, Avatamsaka, Ratnakuta, Sutra, and Tantra. Together with the Tengyur (commentaries), it forms the Tibetan Buddhist Canon.
